Miller Motorsports Park [MMP] is a state-of-the-art road racing facility for automobiles, motorcycles and karts located just 35 minutes from downtown Salt Lake City in Tooele. It is considered the finest race track of its type in North America. Opened in 2006, Miller Motorsports Park hosts many of the world’s most significant racing series and is home to a performance driving and motorcycle school.

Tour of Utah

Miller Motorsports Park is host to Stage 2 of The Tour of Utah.

Stage 2 is the Team Time Trial (TTT). Riders complete 13.5 miles on the racetrack.

The Team Time Trial is one of the most unique events in competitive cycling, and will be held for the first time at the 2012 Tour of Utah. This technical discipline will be hosted on the second day of the Tour at Miller Motorsports Park, which is hosting a time trial for a fifth consecutive year. And this “race of truth” for teams is the only TTT at a North American UCI stage race this year. Each team rides the course together, and all individuals receive the same time (time recorded for fifth rider to cross the line on each team). A Team Time Trial (TTT) will be part of the Giro d’Italia, Vuelta a España and the 2012 Olympic Games in London this year. The Tour de France last hosted a TTT in 2011. There was a TTT at the 2008 Tour de Georgia, but it has not been part of other UCI stage races in North America since.
